McDonald’s brings the fun and excitement of the 2010

FIFA World Cup to life by giving a lucky child aged six to

10 the chance to be part of the McDonald’s Player Escort

Programme this summer in South Africa. The child will

get a once in a lifetime opportunity to make his/her

dream come true and escort one of the world’s best football

players hand-in-hand onto the pitch of the World Cup

Final match.

The lucky winner along with a parent/guardian will take

part in an exciting programme of events! Besides accompanying

players into the stadium, the child will have the

opportunity to meet and cultivate new friendships with

other player escorts from around the world, take part in

their own player escort matches at selected sites around

South Africa, be part of the exciting FIFA World Cup

games, as well as participate in sightseeing tours and

explore the culture of South Africa.

Fifty-one countries, including host country South Africa,

will be participating in this Player Escort Programme and

each country decides locally how to select their player

escort. In the case of Malta, any child that is interested in

becoming a player escort can either get an application

form from any McDonalds restaurant in Malta or Gozo or

else download it from McDonald’s website www.mcdonalds.

com.mt. Closing date of the application form is

16 April.
