Corinthia Hotels Introduces ‘Meet for Free’ concept

Malta Independent Sunday, 4 April 2010, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Corinthia Hotels has launched a highly unusual ‘Meet for Free’ business package for the Meetings, Incentives, Confer-ences and Events (MICE) market, offering completely free meeting space for groups by booking 10 rooms or more before 31 December 2010 and valid for meetings up till the end of December 2011. The offer is available in all Corinthia hotels in Budapest, Lisbon, Malta, Prague, St Petersburg and Tripoli.

As well as a daily theatre-style meeting room, the well-priced ‘Meet for Free’ delegate package also includes single accommodation with American buffet breakfast, free in-room internet, a buffet lunch with two soft drinks, and two coffee breaks. On top of this, groups of 25 paying guests receive one free standard room and one upgrade to an executive floor, while the meeting organiser is supplied with a pre-programmed mobile phone and free local calls, use of an office for private meetings and a complimentary upgrade to a special ‘Five Senses’ room.

“This new concept, which we successfully piloted and perfected at our five-star Corinthia Hotel Lisbon earlier this year, provides meeting and event planners with the best value for money package possible, while optimising quality and content,” comments Glenn Carroll, senior vice president for sales and marketing for CHI Hotels & Resorts, the luxury brand’s operating company.

“The initiative has been extremely well received in test and, while acknowledging that there is now a worldwide feeling of economic recovery, we feel there is still a need to support our customers in this very important sector of our business.”

The ‘Meet for Free’ offer is directly accessible at http://www.corinthia.com/meetforfree and is backed by Corinthia’s award-winning programme ‘Events at Corinthia’. This value-added product comprises a variety of facilities and services that assist organisers to plan and hold successful and stress-free events, including a dedicated personal assistant assigned to every conference organiser.
