The Charterhouse Jazz Band will swing at the Bay Street between 1 and 2pm on Sunday.

The Charterhouse Jazz Band is an 18-strong swing band from the UK which specialises in the music of the Glenn Miller era. Over the years the band has appeared on BBC television and toured all over Europe and the USA. These young musicians are all extremely talented with many of them also involved in other musical activities such as orchestras and choirs. Charterhouse – where the band and band members originate – is one of the finest schools in England with an unrivalled reputation for academic achievement, sport and the arts. As older boys and girls leave and go on to university new young players come in, so although the music stays the same there are some for whom In the Mood and Moonlight Serenade are completely new experiences!

The talent of the Charterhouse Jazz Band combined with that particular Bay Street weekend atmosphere promise a deeply enjoyable Sunday afternoon not to be missed.
