Last Saturday, May 1, AX Group, one of the largest and most dynamic private companies in Malta, teamed up with St Paul’s Bay Local Council to organise a clean-up campaign at Ta’ Fra Ben. The event, aimed at returning one of Malta’s most beautiful coastlines to its pristine state, was held between 9.30am and 12.30pm.

The event proved a successful one, with a total of 40 employees from AX Group volunteering for this activity. Those who rolled up their sleeves to clean the area work either at AX Head Office, Construction, The Palace, Victoria Hotel, Sunny Coast or Seashells Resort at Suncrest.

The Local Council provided all those attending with gloves and garbage bags, while provisions for waste collection had also been made. Wearing purposely made t-shirts and caps, the volunteers filled a large skip with waste such as plastic bottles, boxes and broken items, among other rubbish.

Following the exercise, the participants were invited for some refreshments at the Sun and Surf, which is part of the Seashells Resort at Suncrest Hotel. The cleaning exercise was well appreciated by the participants and the passers by, who thanked the volunteers for cleaning the area. Indeed, the participants themselves said that they couldn’t wait “until the next cleaning event!”

The AX Group of Companies is a dynamic group that is heavily involved in three core sectors – Construction, Hospitality and Development, and which today has developed into one of Malta’s leading private companies with a reputation cultivated through years of hard work and endeavour to reach levels that are constantly breaking new ground.
