The centennial anniversary of Sliema Primary School was marked yesterday with Mass concelebrated by the Archbishop, Mgr Pawl Cremona, OP, and priests who teach at the school or in schools nearby.
Mass was followed by Education Minister Dolores Cristina inaugurating an exhibition about the school, and then by a visit by the archbishop and the minister to a wartime shelter which lies beneath the school. The shelter has been cleaned and restored, and will be open to the public.
