Marsovin is holding the second edition of the Marsovin Gozo Summer Wine Festival inside the Citadel in Victoria today and tomorrow.
The concept of the event is similar to the larger event held in Malta aiming not only to promote Marsovin’s wines but also to present a cultural event tied to a Mediterranean theme.
During the event, Marsovin will be promoting its estate Sparkling wine produced in the Methode Traditionnelle, Cassar De Malte; the passito, Guze; Grand Maitre; its range of Atlantis wines, as well as its Gozitan range of wines Odyssey, Ulysses and Antonin Blanc.
Marsovin is offering more value this year to its customers with a special offer of a €10entrance fee which includes a premium festival wine glass and €10worth of wine tokens, with which one can either taste a number of different wines or drink a selection of wines by the glass or by the bottle. Alternatively, for those who wish to pay less, there is a standard entrance fee of €5 which entitles them to the festival wine glass and a €2 token which can be redeemed for up to four tasters, or one glass of wine. Then wine can be purchased using a token system – a 185ml glass of wine will cost from €2 to €8 depending on the wine.
Marsovin is subcontracting the food to a Gozitan caterer, serving quality food at reasonable prices.
Doors open at 7.30pm and close at 12.30am. A park and ride facility is being set up at the Victoria bus terminus from 6pm onwards. The event is being organised in conjunction with the Victoria local council.
