InFashion Malta, the island’s only fashion agency announces the launch of the VIP event Malta In Fashion – a showcase offering Maltese models, photographers, make-up artists and designers to the fashion industry of Europe.

Held over a weekend starting on Saturday, 28 August, select members of the European fashion industry will be attending the event ready to witness first hand what Malta has to offer in the form of talent. These VIPs consist of editors, TV crew and agencies from around Europe who are regarded as leaders in their field and are prominent in the fashion and advertising industries in their respective countries.

“Malta is a beautiful backdrop for international fashion shoots,” says Kristoff Zammit Ciantar, one of the three InFashion directors. “We don’t only want to showcase our talented people, but also the island itself.”

The VIPs are flying courtesy of Air Malta, are being hosted at The Palace Hotel in Sliema and chauffeured by E-Cabs. ChooseMalta will be treating the VIPs to an exclusive guided tour of Valletta while the MTA will be sponsoring the dinner on one of the evenings.

“We want our VIPs to experience true professionalism here on the island,” says Shideh Olafsson, InFashion’s creative director. “We want to showcase the professional facilities and infrastructure that Malta is able to offer to demonstrate how we can cater for the most discerning business-person.”

On the Sunday night following their arrival, the VIPs will be treated to an exclusive event at Gianpula where InFashion will be showcasing models, photographers, make-up artists, designers and even music talent.

Malta in Fashion event will be split into two parts. The first part will be a VIP showcase, an absolutely exclusive by invitation only event. Once the VIP showcase is over part 2 of the event will kick off. Two hundred tickets will be available to the public. These will be on sale soon.

“All of the talent on show is Maltese or Maltese based. We want the European fashion media to see that no matter how big or small the country is, talent can be found anywhere,” said Antonella Vella, InFashion’s co-director.
