The past year, the MFA has obtained the sum from UEFA of euro 447,000 to commence its project to improve the national stadium.
Among the works done, were the maintenance on the West, North and South Stands, the construction of a foot bridge between the car park and the VIP area and the laying of an electronic turnstile on the side of the car park and an electronic door at the other end.
All the turnstiles have been replaced in the West A and C stand.
The old shutters have been replaced by new ones which can be operated by electronically and manually.
A good number of CCTV cameras (64) now offer better control at the Stadium. This should help one and all to identify trouble makers inside the stadium, especially when damage is caused to the property.
At present, work is at hand on the media boxes in the West Stand and when these are concluded, the MFA is committed to get more financial aid from UEFA for more improvements at the national stadium as well as the Centenary Stadium.
