HSBC is once again one of the main sponsors for this year’s traditional annual Gozo Agricultural exhibition, which is being held at the grounds of the Sir MichaelAng Refalo School complex in Victoria in view of the upgrading works at Villa Rundle, where it usually takes place.

The exhibition, which is known locally as Il-Wirja ta’ Santa Marija, is organised by the Agrarian, Industrial and Cultural Society of Gozo and goes back to 1855. It hosts more than 5,000 farm animals, song birds and also a wide variety of locally grown produce.

The exhibits include horses, cows, sheep, birds, poultry, fruit, vegetables and other local produce. There are also locally produced wines, oil and honey. These exhibits are shown in their own separate categories and prizes are awarded to the best exhibit in each of these categories.
