6pm have won a contract to develop a healthcare solution for HR at the Royal Free Hampstead NHS Trust, which includes a major London teaching hospital, the Royal Free Hospital.

6pm will be delivering around 40 HR workflow processes using EMC Documentum xCP platform. The solution being developed is also designed to integrate with the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) application.

Once developed, this solution will be licensed to other Trusts by 6pm, the Royal Free and EMC. The solution will then be offered nationwide as a managed service through a nominated data centre.

Commenting on the solution, Steve Wightman, executive director of 6pm, said, “This is a very exciting project for 6pm as it starts to make effective use of workflow technology within the NHS. The business case for other Trusts using this solution is compelling and we expect a significant uptake in the coming months.”

Jasvier Boyal, Director of Workforce at the Royal Free, said, “There was stiff competition for this project due to the massive market potential, but we felt that 6pm offered the right integration capability and future potential enhancement of the solution with their enterprise EDM. Also, using the EMC xCP platform we could implement workflow, EDM and E-Forms all under one single, integrated solution.”
