It’s Lampuki season and the delicious, handmade traditional Lampuki pie is now available at all Jubilee Foods outlets, including the Ibragg outlet which has now re-opened after the summer shutdown!
As soon as the summer comes to an end the Maltese start looking forward to the Lampuki season and looking for ways to make the most of this versatile fish that can be cooked in so many different ways. The chefs at Jubilee Foods have “gone back” to their winning Lampuki Pie recipe using the freshest seasonal ingredients especially for those who appreciate genuine, homemade food prepared in the Maltese and Gozitan tradition.
The Jubilee Foods Lampuki Pie comes in 2 different sizes – individual portions and family portions – for added convenience. The pie contains chunks of lampuki fish, potatoes, capers, olives and basil tomato sauce. All those buying 2 large Lampuki Pies from the Jubilee Foods outlet at Pavi will also receive a free small pie of their choice. The Cheese and Broad Beans pie is not included in this offer.
Besides offering a wide range of artisan foodstuffs, Jubilee Foods is also well-known for its seasonal specialties. Other seasonal products that are back to the shops include the Artisan Tomato Paste made with this summer’s Gozitan tomatoes, Sundried Tomatoes and a selection of naturally flavoured oils.
“As always, there are no preservatives or additives used in the Jubilee Foods recipes. The concept behind Jubilee Foods is that of bringing back wholesome artisan foods prepared from fresh produce and our Lampuki Pie has been prepared to these high standards,” said Ruth Camilleri, General Manager of Jubilee Foods.
