Three child care and play articles, placed on the market by Fisher-Price, are being voluntarily recalled due to the possible risk of injury, the Malta Standards Authority said. The products are Fisher-Price Trikes, Healthy Care High Chairs and specific infant toys that have inflatable balls.
No incidents involving these products have been reported in Malta, but the MSA said it has been informed about incidents abroad.
The local agent importing these products is collaborating by issuing free replacement and free repair kits to whoever had bought these products.
Trikes
B8775 Kawasaki Ninja Tough Trike
Hazard: A child can strike, sit or fall on the protruding plastic ignition key, which can result in injury.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately place the specific trikes out of children’s reach and contact Tradeways Limited on 2143-4797 or e-mail [email protected] for a free replacement key.
Healthy Care High Chairs
C6412 Healthy Care High Chair Cow/Moon
Hazard: Children, passing behind the high chair, can fall on or against the pegs on the rear legs of the high chair, which can result in injuries or lacerations. The pegs are used for high chair tray storage.
