The Express Group has just completed the installation of a new internal communications system whereby clients need remember only one direct number through which they will be re-directed to the various divisions within the group.
The new number – 2124 2311 – underscores a thorough internal restructuring exercise that has been undertaken by the Express Group in the past months and which is expected to be completed by April next year. This project, a major investment by Express Group will also see the completion of a new extension to the company’s premises in Luqa.
“We are not just launching a new direct contact telephone line but a whole list of infrastructural developments that have been undertaken internally to further improve our service delivery channels and to be better equipped for the increasing business,” explains Jonathan Vella, Commercial Director of Express Group.
“Our current project includes a transformation and relocation of all the internal units. For instance, before, there used to be different accounts departments for each of our companies; now there will be one finance unit centralizing all the accounts division on a new, purposely built floor in our building. The rest of the operations will be on the ground floor similar to the concept of a banking branch where clients may avail themselves of all services under one roof on the same floor.
“Therefore, though we have expanded, we are going to remain localized with a sounder and more efficient communication infrastructure. All this is in line with our vision for customer centricity but we are also safe in the knowledge that these developments are driven by our clients’ needs.”
