Bletchley Park Approached by foreign record label

Malta Independent Sunday, 17 October 2010, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

Local indie rock band Bletchley Park has been approached by Record Label Poison Tree Records & Publishing Agent Desert Drive Publishing from Los Angeles, US, which were both recently taken over by Sony (Red). After listening to the band’s myspace profile, Poison Tree Records immediately offered a record deal aimed at promoting the band globally. Poison Tree Records and Sony (Red) will be pushing Bletchley Park’s songs onto movies, games, adverts, among other music placements.

In anticipation to Bletchley Park’s full-length album which was recorded and produced at WaxxOff Studios, Ibiza with renowned British producer Paul Powell last September, Poison Tree Records and Sony (Red) are currently working on compiling eight songs into a mini-album entitled From Bletchley, With Love, which will be digitally available on iTunes in the coming weeks. This will include number one hit singles Alien and Hold the Trap among other new tunes. The band has recently promoted this digital release in Copenhagen and Helsingør Denmark, playing alongside Danish bands Jesper Ejrup, Taras and Paper Tigers.

Poison Tree Records have also featured Alien on their hit compilation Awaken volume 1 together with artists Meat Puppets, Fatso Jetson and Nick Oliveri (bassist and founding member of Mondo Generator, Kyuss, Queens Of The Stone Age and more).
