Preparations are underway for the official launch of the Scandinavian Business Forum – Malta under the auspices of the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry.
The Forum will aim to strengthen business networks existing between Scandinavian and Maltese businesses and to create new ones. The SBF-M also aims to produce more interaction between Maltese and Scandinavian businesses, which will now have a body which the Scandinavian businesses already linked to Malta can identify.
“Notwithstanding the commendable efforts of Malta Enterprise and Finance Malta, Scandinavian businesses are still not fully aware of the benefits and advantages of investing in Malta. SBF-M intends to complement what is already being carried out by these two state organizations.” explained Dr. Mark Fenech, a founding member of SBF-M.
The official launch will be held on 5th November 2010 from 8.30am till 12.30pm at the Exchange Buildings in Valletta, with the participation of the Minister of Finance, the Economy & Investment, Tonio Fenech and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tonio Borg.
Presentations will also be made by Ole-Kristian Baevahr, Vice-President Shipping at Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA of Norway, Mikkel Korntved, CEO of Loyalty Group International, Denmark and Phillip Baruch, a partner at Lund Elmer Sandager law firm of Copenhagen, Denmark.
Representatives of Scandinavian businesses having a Maltese connection and Maltese companies with links to the Scandinavian region are expected to attend.
