The 500,000th Peugeot 107 has rolled off the TPCA car production lines in Kolin, in the Czech Republic.
Launched on European markets in spring 2005, the Peugeot 107 enjoyed immediate success which has never waned, since the annual industrial potential devolved to the "little" Peugeot has been continually saturated by strong business demand through to the present.
Despite the bumpy ride for European markets in the past two years, the production volumes of the 107 have remained on an upward curve, at the very limits of the installed capacity: from 101,700 in 2006 (first full year), they rose to 104,600 in 2007, then 108,200 in 2008 and 116,100 in 2009.
Fitted with its 3-cylinder, 998 cc, petrol engine, developing 50 kW (68 hp), the 107 limits its standardised mixed consumption to 4.5 l/100 km, corresponding to CO2 emissions of 103 g/km.
