Domestica has made new headway into overseas markets after being commissioned by renowned Italian sofa makers Nicoletti to build a ground-breaking stand to be used at two of the most important and largest international interiors fairs: the Brussels Fair and the Milan Fair – both of which are considered top events for leading
furniture importers and manufacturers.
The 200 square metre stand was built at the Domestica factory in Attard and was designed in such a way as to make it easy to dismantle and set up for multiple use. It will be used for the first time in the Brussels Furniture Fair, which began this week, and which is expected to attract over 20,000 visitors.
With approximately 300 exhibitors filling seven halls at the Brussels Expo, this is considered one of the strongest commercial platforms in the international furniture
sector.
The Domestica stand will also be used by Nicoletti during next year’s Milan Furniture Fair, which is another mainstay of the sector and which showcases an avant-garde range of collections, ranging from the classical to the most modern and cutting-edge designs.
“It is with pride that Domestica is taking part in these two prestigious events, thanks to Nicoletti, whose celebrated Italian sofas are showcased in Malta exclusively at our showroom. The Domestica manufacturing arm has over 40 years’ experience and employs some of the top craftsmen and women in the industry. Domestica’s
custom-made furniture enjoys an excellent reputation and we have been responsible for a number of large scale corporate projects, so it is with enthusiasm that we have taken on this prestigious project in order to work hand in hand with one of the biggest Italian sofa brands,” said Domestica managing director Chris Vassallo Cesareo.
