The Martini Spumante range continues to impress industry experts, winning a number of awards in a leading wine tasting competition in the United States.
Martini Prosecco has won a Platinum Medal, Martini Asti a Gold Medal and Martini Rosé a Silver Medal in the Sommelier Challenge International Wine Competition 2010. The Platinum Medal is a particularly high recommendation, only awarded to those wines nominated for ‘Best in Show’.
This annual competition, run by wine guru Richard Whitley, is unique in that its judges consist solely of leading sommeliers in the US. These wine experts are well-positioned to give an accurate and current insight into the best quality products available that should be recommended to consumers.
Entries were blind-tasted by judges that included some of the best sommeliers and industry experts in the world, including Anani Lawson (The French Laundry), Michael Scaffidi (The Jefferson) and Adam Curling (Wynn Hotel, Las Vegas).
“Recognition from respected industry leaders is a reward to our skilled winemakers who are passionate about creating the naturally Italian Martini Spumante range,” commented Ekaterina Chmykhova, Global Marketing Manager for Martini Spumante. “It proves that there really is a sparkling wine for every occasion.”
Since 1863, when the company of Martini was first formed, the crafting of quality wines has been at the heart of its culture. Ever since that time Martini has pioneered the Italian tradition of spumante or sparkling wines. Today, as one of the world’s leading drinks brands, Martini remains at the forefront of that tradition. Using the skill and knowledge of its artisans, passed from generation to generation, Martini captures the unique character of the Italian vineyard regions, hand harvesting the grapes that create the vibrant, fresh and light taste that is the hallmark of all Martini Spumante wines.
150 years of dedication and passion to this craft has created a range of four award-winning Spumante wines: Martini Asti, Martini Prosecco, Martini Rosé and Martini Brut. Each has a naturally Italian taste, made for pleasure not ceremony, to be opened anytime, on any occasion.
Martini is imported and distributed by P. Cutajar & Co Ltd of Notabile Road, Mriehel.
