Four manufacturing and services-related Maltese businesses have been recognised for their strong commitment to export and innovation, winning the inaugural ‘HSBC/Vodafone Export and Innovation Awards’ in their respective categories. The awards were presented by Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE, one of the world’s greatest living explorers, during a presentation ceremony held on 26 November at the Hilton, Malta. Present for the event was also Parliamentary Secretary Jason Azzopardi.

The four winners will now gain automatic entry to the 2011 European Business Awards, which HSBC also supports. Cash prizes have been provided by HSBC that will be donated to charities of the winners’ choice.
