Maltese artist Salvu Mallia has just launched a website for his paintings, www.salvumallia.com. Salvu has been present on the art scene since the early 1980s, with his first one-man exhibition at Gallerija Fenici, followed by another three, one of them in Germany. Initially a graphic artist, his works were bold, colourful and centred on the stylized interpretation of the human figure. For the last 14 years he has switched his creative energy to theatre and television, writing and/or directing teleserials. Now the artistic life of Salvu Mallia has come full circle – the artist is turning back his attention to his great passion, painting. The artist is currently preparing for his fifth solo exhibition.
