The Debenhams store was bustling during Kids Week when animators entertained children while their parents could avail themselves of the various offers available including 15% off on all children’s products and a free gift with purchases over €50. For every item sold during the week, Debenhams forwarded a money donation to the Ursuline Crèche in Sliema.
The crèche, as it is affectionately known, offers shelter to circa 50 children aged from 0 to 3 years old, who for various social reasons cannot live within their natural family environment. While welcoming children from different social backgrounds regardless of their religion, race or social class, the crèche receives no income support except for donations by benefactors such as Debenhams, and a children’s allowance.
Lorraine Vella, Sales and Visual Merchandise Manager, said: “Debenhams is aware of all the sterling work taking place at the Sliema Creche. Through our Kids Week activities we wanted to extend a hand to those who are not so fortunate, and to give their carers a helping hand in providing them with the best care possible.”
Debenhams is open from Monday to Saturday between 9.30am and 7.30pm.
