Bank Of Valletta launches FIDDA account

Bank of Valletta has launched ‘The BOV FIDDA Account’ a six-year term deposit offering access to diverse markets globally and the peace of mind of guaranteed capital and income.

The BOV FIDDA Account is a Structured Deposit Account denominated in Euro, US Dollars and Pound Sterling. This account is 100% capital guaranteed, with guaranteed and attractive step-up interest rates on half of the deposit, plus a potential Bonus Interest of 24% on the remaining half of the deposit linked to the performance of four international stock market indices payable on maturity.

Depositors are being offered the opportunity to earn an annual and increasing income during the entire term of the Deposit and also benefit from the potential growth in geographically diverse markets (these markets being Europe (Eurozone), UK, Canada and Australia), together with the protection of a full capital guarantee at maturity.

Interest rates range between 4% and 5.25% for Euro, 3.5% and 4.75% for US Dollars and 3.75% and 5% for Pound Sterling. Minimum deposits in each currency are of EUR 2,000, USD 2,000 and GBP 2,000 and multiples of 100 for each currency.

The account is available to the general public from 10 January and the offer will close on 4 February or earlier at the Bank’s discretion. The account matures on the 7 February 2017.
