Sports facilities at the Gozo stadium have been improved with a five a side pitch with synthetic grass for football games, with parking space for some 75 vehicles provided. The new pitch will be an alternative to the natural turf ground.
The new facilities were inaugurated by Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono who said that apart from being another means for improving facilities in Gozo, they will also serve to draw interest from and participation of international sports.
Last year saw also the inauguration of new dressing rooms and spectator stands.
The inauguration was attended by Norman Darmanin Demajo, president of the Malta Football Association, and Alvin Grech, president of the Gozo Football Association.
