Over 20 HSBC employees in Gozo donated 9 litres of blood during Blood Donation Day organised by the Gozo Branch and Gozo Service Centre for the second year.
This year’s appeal for volunteers to donate blood was timely as it coincided with a nationwide call for blood. Employees and their relatives visited the Blood Donation Bank at the Gozo General Hospital at regular intervals in order not to disrupt business at the branch and the service centre. Seven of the donors were first timers.
“This was another successful year for our staff to contribute towards a just cause,” said Paul Curmi, HSBC’s Area Director – Gozo. “I thank the donors and the staff at the Blood Bank in Gozo for their compassion and courage to help patients in need with an asset money cannot buy.”
