Two lucky ladies certainly had much to smile about when the Republic Street Business Community Association (RSBCA) recently announced the winners of its annual lottery – sponsored by GO – that was open to shoppers who made purchases in Republic Street over the Christmas period. Lillian Buttigieg from Qormi won a year’s subscription of GO’s immensely popular Home Pack 33 while Josephine Mifsud from L-Iklin won a 3G mobile phone powered by GO.

The competition further underpins GO’s commitment to support RSBCA and its ongoing initiatives to boost the dynamic city experience. This is not the first time that GO has teamed up with the RSBCA and giving a hand in carrying out high-powered activities targeted to enhance the city’s identity as an important business and entertainment hub. Thanks to the RSBCA, commuters visiting Valletta over Christmas were enthralled by the festive atmosphere with amazing decorative lights and the decorated shops in Republic Street. In addition, shoppers were given the chance to participate in a lottery and win fantastic gifts.

During the presentation held at GO head office in Marsa, Paul Fenech, president of the RSBCA, thanked GO for supporting RSBCA in its ongoing efforts to draw in the crowds to the city’s focal point – Republic Street – that boasts cultural and historical heritage and also excellent commercial activity. He was accompanied by two other entrepreneurs, Reginald Fava and Kishen Mohnani, both RSBCA members. The winners thanked GO for the great gifts and said they were looking forward to benefiting from GO’s outstanding services.
