24-year-old Rodney Andrew Molt, who lives in Attard but is from Alabama in the US, and 22-year-old Romanian Ana-Maria Beatrice Ciocanel, who also lives in Attard, were yesterday remanded in custody by Magistrate Marseann Farrugia after pleading not guilty to importing and being in possession of the illegal party drug mephedrone, which is commonly referred to as Meow Meow.

They were also accused by Prosecuting Police Inspector Pierre Grech of trafficking ecstasy. Molt was also accused of being in possession of ecstasy and cocaine last Friday.
