A newly set up company, Dial-a-Cab Ltd, has started offering a chauffeur-driven service around Malta. The company has a fleet of bright yellow cabs that are available through a dedicated telephone number, 23456789, round the clock seven days a week.

Anyone familiar with the streets of London will surely recognise the famous cab, with its unmistakable silhouette. These custom-built vehicles seat five passengers in comfort (apart from the driver) and are fully equipped for those with special needs, including a ramp for wheelchair access, a swivel seat for people with limited mobility, and contrasting grab handles and seat edges for partially-sighted passengers.

“Our cabs can be pre-booked for a fixed time both to collect people from their office to take them to a meeting and to collect them at the agreed time once the meeting is over,” a company spokesman said. “For a limited time, we are offering clients the opportunity to book our cabs with a €3 discount per trip irrespective of the destination. In this way we hope the experience will encourage people to enjoy our iconic cabs and the high quality service we provide.”
