Malta Independent Friday, 18 March 2011, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Each year McDonald’s Malta awards a selected group of employees with the coveted title of “employee of the year”. These employees are chosen after having distinguished themselves with an outstanding performance along with a positive attitude over the last year. They are true examples of the level that the company wants to reach.

These awards where bestowed during a recently held event that included all McDonald’s employees. The eight winners won an all inclusive holiday to Disneyland Paris. During the event, in a short address, Ugne Biuliuniene, Country Manager of McDonald’s Malta emphasised the importance of this award and said it was a great tool in enhancing employee motivation and job satisfaction: “We believe in recognising our employees for all they do each day. This initiative is just one way for us to show our appreciation. Improving the experience of all our employees is key to our business success and we will continue to strive to improve their experience” said Ugne Biuliuniene.

This recognition program forms part of the ongoing McDonald’s employment value proposition. Such programs are not only designed to reward and recognise high performing employees but also to reinforce the core values and commitment the company has towards its employees.
