Malta Independent Sunday, 20 March 2011, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

The professional services firm Chetcuti Cauchi has been awarded the Equality Mark by the National Commission for the Promotion of Equality (NCPE), a certification given to companies considered to regard gender equality as one of their core values, and whose management ethic is based on the recognition and the promotion of employees’ potential irrespective of their gender and personal responsibilities.

Chetcuti Cauchi’s mission statement underscores the firm’s objectives to present members with a balanced, top-notch professional environment, which is translated into an environment free from any gender bias and which promotes a balance between work and family responsibilities.

As part of the process for obtaining the Equality Mark, the ideologies of partners directors and management at the firm practised so far were put in writing in the form of policies that not only focused on equality but also included protection against sexual harassment and family-friendly measures.

“Gender bias is non-existent at Chetcuti Cauchi and all efforts are made in order to ensure an environment that is free of any sort of discrimination. We are therefore very happy that our ideologies and efforts in this regard have been formally recognised and awarded,” comments Chetcuti Cauchi Human Resources manager Romina Abdilla.

Chetcuti Cauchi’s team of 60 professionals includes lawyers, tax advisers, accountants, company administrators and fiduciaries
