A number of office executives hailing from a number of private companies have successfully completed the City & Guilds Award in Office Procedures, a course run by MISCO.
The City & Guilds diploma in Office Procedures is a participative programme that provides its participants with the necessary skills and competence to work professionally in any clerical, administration or secretarial role within any industry environment. It is also one of MISCO’s recently added new training programmes within its portfolio of courses.
The successful graduates were recently awarded with their certificates during a formal presentation held at MISCO’s offices in Mrieħel by Wendy Raywood, one of MISCO’s trainers who delivered the award.
During the presentation of certificates, Ms Wendy Raywood said “These successful participants can now confidently approach their daily responsibilities and roles in a more effective manner now that they are in possession of their City & Guilds Award in Office Procedures with MISCO. It has been a pleasure supporting these participants to gain a recognised qualification and equally gratifying to learn that as a result of attending the programme, participants have received work promotions and career advancement opportunities.”
Throughout the whole course which was spread over a period of weeks, participants worked on developing their communication styles and systems, interpersonal skills, telephone handling techniques, organisation structures and functions, creating business letters ,memos and text production, office equipment, purchasing of goods, invoicing, payments and stock control, expenses claims, supporting meetings, minute taking and arranging business travel.
Deborah Vella, is one of the newly qualified graduates in City & Guilds Office Procedures who achieved a first class pass. Ms Vella stated “Office Procedures held by Misco was one of the most effective training programmes I have ever attended. Our trainer clearly demonstrated her vast experience in the field and her training sessions included real life issues and situations which helped us relate more to the subject discussed. We also had the opportunity to actively complete workshops and were also encouraged to discuss our ideas freely about various training topics.”
Ms Raywood announced that MISCO will be starting a new intake for the Award in Office Procedures in April.
