Malta Independent Sunday, 3 April 2011, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

Bank of Valletta and the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association have teamed up to organise an information session regarding the opportunities and EU incentives available for local tourism operators to drive their business forward.

The interest rate subsidy scheme, tax credits for micro operators, new financial products, financing and co-financing opportunities and e-commerce are among the topics that will be tackled during the information session. Those involved with all aspects of the tourism sector, such as hotels, guest houses, host families, restaurants, bars, cafés, language schools, diving schools, incoming and outgoing travel operators, retail outlets and the niche tourism market are invited to attend.

Malta Enterprise consultant Mario Zammit, Bank of Valletta Chief Officer Operations Albert Frendo and Peter Sant from Bank of Valletta’s EU and SME desk will be addressing all attendees.

The event is being held at the Corinthia Palace Hotel in Attard on 13 April at 9am. For further information and booking, contact Dolores Brincat at the MHRA either by email on [email protected] or by telephone on 2131 8133/34. Attendance is free of charge.
