Last call for entries as entry deadline approaches
Only a couple of weeks remain for Europe’s most innovative and entrepreneurial businesses, including those in Malta, to enter the 2011 European Business Awards and see their achievements recognised in front of their peers, politicians and media across the region. Entries for Europe’s toughest business competition, sponsored by HSBC Commercial Banking, will close at noon on 14 April (see www.businessawardseurope.com for details).
In 2010 the awards attracted entries from over 15,000 diverse businesses, ranging from fish farming to renewable energy and from light aircraft to skincare, with a combined turnover greater than €766 billion (six per cent of EU GDP) and employing over 3.5 million people.
Due to the quality of the entrants and the rigour of the judging process, only the crème de la crème are selected to become Country Representatives. Of these Country Representatives, 100 finalists are selected to receive a Ruban d’Honneur in each of the awards’ 10 categories before 10 overall winners earn themselves a prestigious European Business Award, the ultimate honour in European business. The winners of the European Business Awards will be revealed at a premier European location in November 2011 before hundreds of Europe’s senior figures in politics, business and the media.
