The latest addition to the growing Android family – the HTC Desire S – is now available in all Vodafone stores across Malta and Gozo. The smartphone has a price tag of €499 but is comes free of charge with one of Vodafone’s smartphone pay monthly plans.

As a successor to the highly popular Desire handset, this smartphone boasts a heightened sense of intelligence, speed and clarity. The HTC Desire S can be synchronised with the HTC portal www.htcsense.com and users can remotely manage, control, backup and customise their handset from any desktop browser. If the handset is left at home, users can log into the account and forward calls to their office number. The portal also allows the device to be tracked, and users can send and receive text messages from the Internet at no charge.

If the device is lost or stolen, the contents can be remotely locked or wiped. This is a very useful security feature that will give business users peace of mind as it ensures that all information is kept confidential. Contacts are also backed up and stored on the portal, and users can add or synchronise the contacts and their calendar when connecting the device to the PC.
