C. Cini Mfg Ltd, Danish Bakery Ltd and James Caterers are the latest companies to sign up with the GreenPak Coop and place the internationally renowned Green Dot trademark across their wide range of products. This tangible gesture strengthens their approach in committing to a more ‘greener’ way of doing business.

The prospect of being proactive and sustainable on environmental issues was the primary reasons for Danish Bakery Ltd to opt to join GreenPak’s Co-op and adopt the Green Dot icon on their range of products. As well as the sliced sandwich bread for which the company is well-known, the symbol has been extended to other ancillary products such as their confectionary range and other morning goods.

C. Cini Mfg Ltd, which traces its origins to the 1930s, is the manufacturer and packer of the popular ‘Lamb’ brand. Included in the newly-Green Dot labelled Lamb products are pulses, nuts, flour and pasta.

“Adopting the Green Dot trademark underlines our commitment to contribute to a safer and cleaner environment, especially for future generations,” said a company spokesman.

James Caterers, a leading catering company supplying meals to factories, hotels, hospitals and homes for the elderly, points out that today’s customers are more sensitive to the way a company operates. The Green Dot icon now features on the company’s Jamesburys Range and Premium Food, which include biscuits, local traditional products and frozen items.

Over 350 Maltese companies are now signed up with GreenPak’s waste recovery scheme and using the Green Dot trademark that is synonymous with manufacturers that actively contribute to the recovery and recycling of materials.
