The Seashells Resort at Suncrest hosted a workshop about flower arranging led by multi-award winner Elizabeth Weaver’s, whose work has fascinated enthusiasts both locally and in the UK.
Indeed, Mrs Weaver was considered the “star exhibitor” of the Malta Horticular Society Annual Exhibition, which was held at San Anton Gardens this past weekend, and where Mrs Weaver exhibited the extraordinary flower arrangement that won her the Gold Award at the Great Chelsea Show in 2010.
Local and foreign guests at the Seashells Resort listened fascinated as Mrs Weaver’s explained the intricacies of this particular art which has seen her received multiple awards throughout the years, among others at the Great Chelsea Show, where she won Silver in 2008, Silver-Gilt in 2006 and Gold in 2002; at the RHS FLOWER SHOW at Tatton Park for the Cheshire Area where she received the Silver-Gilt Award in 2007; and in London where she received another GOLD at the RHS Lawrence Hall, in 2004.
Presently Ms Weaver is a member of two Flower Clubs: the Rural Chester Flower Club and the Handbridge Flower Club. She is an area demonstrator for NAFAS, a qualified florist (MDPF), a qualified teacher in flower arranging and floristry and a freelance designer.
