AX Hotels Sponsors MIPP Photography Competition

The Palace, Victoria Hotel and Palazzo Capua have signed an agreement with the Malta Institute of Professional Photography (MIPP) to hold a photo shoot competition for members of the Institute. The MIPP photography competition focuses on AX Hotels properties as participants are asked to unleash their talent and creativity to capture images of Malta’s leading hotels. The competition, which is only open to paid-up members of the MIPP, kicked off the last week and will run until the end of August. Finalists will be assessed by a local jury made up of photography professionals and a hotel representative.

Speaking about this latest cultural initiative by Malta’s leading Hospitality Group, Kevin Callus, Hotel Manager at The Palace, Victoria Hotel and Palazzo Capua said: “We have a long tradition of supporting local talent in various spheres. Indeed, the MIPP Photography Competition follows the immensely successful Vodafone Upcoming Artist Competition, which were hosted at The Palace only recently. Also, here at The Palace we set up monthly art exhibitions through which we regularly support the creativity and vision of local artists.”

In its support for the MIPP Photography Competition, AX Hotels will not only be providing the venue but is also sponsoring a range of great prizes for the winners and runner-ups in the different categories. These prizes include a voucher of €700 worth of products and services provided by AX Hotels for the participant winning 1st Place for Best Portfolio will receive and a similar voucher of €400 for the participant achieving the 2nd Place in the same category. On the other hand, the participants achieving 1st and 2nd Place for Best Image will receive €200 and €100 worth of products and services provided by AX Hotels respectively. All vouchers will be redeemable in any of the AX Hotels Food & Beverage outlets.
