Reuben Buttigieg has been elected President of the Malta Institute of Management. Mr Buttigieg has formed part of the MIM Council since 2003 and has led the Institute’s Education Division for the last five years. Mr Buttigieg has read for a Masters in Business Administration with the University of Warwick and is a Fellow Member of the Association of the Chartered Certified Accountants. He is also Managing Director of Erremme Business Advisors.
The other officers of the new MIM Council are: Edward Firman, vice-president; Dunstan Magro, honorary secretary; Alfred Mifsud, honorary treasurer; and Marika Huber, Lawrence Mizzi, Melvin Caruana and Hector Spiteri as members.
Mr Melvin Caruana will be succeeding Mr. Buttigieg as Chairperson of the Education Division of MIM. Mr. Caruana is Executive Chairman of Smart Insurance Brokers Limited. Ms. Marika Huber and Mr. Lawrence Mizzi have been appointing Directors of the Education Division.
The new MIM Council is committed to strive towards strengthening the involvement and participation of members in the Institute’s activities.
Founded in 1964, the Malta Institute of Management is a non-political, non-negotiating and non-profit making professional body for persons in Malta concerned with and involved in management. The Institute runs various courses, educational programmes and conferences.
