Malta Independent Saturday, 9 July 2011, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

In line with Sunseeker Malta’s commitment to bring together all Sunseeker boat owners in Malta to collectively enjoy the unique Sunseeker experience, the Sunseeker Malta team is planning the first ever official rally for local Sunseeker boat owners and Sunseeker charterers cruising together to an exciting weekend trip to Sicily and convening to the historic city of Syracuse.

“Such rallies and organised cruising trips are part of our efforts to bring together all those who own and share Sunseeker’s values to meet and socialize in a social and relaxed environment,” explained Lauren Cachia, PR & Marketing of Sunseeker Malta. “This rally is open to all those who already own a Sunseeker boat or who wish to participate by chartering a Sunseeker boat from the fleet managed by Sunseeker Malta. This will surely prove to be a unique not to be missed event where Sunseeker owners and Sunseeker charterers will be together sharing their passion and their mutual love for the sea and the good life.”

The rally is planned for the weekend starting on Friday 15 July when all participating Sunseeker owners will convene at Portomaso Marina where they will be greeted to enjoy a welcome drink on board their respective motor yacht before the journey. Upon arrival in Syracuse, dinner will be served at one of the great restaurants in town.

Saturday 16th will start off with a visit to the market in town which offers a wide selection of local produce and fresh seafood followed by an outdoor lunch at one of the great restaurants overlooking the bay of Syracuse. An afternoon visit to the ancient Greek ruins including the Amphitheatre and the famous Orecchio di Dionisio will ensue. The day will close off with a pontoon party hosted by Sunseeker Malta serving a selection of Italian and Sicilian cheeses and fine wines.

On Sunday, the third and final day, after breakfast, the group Captain will cast off from the marina and head back south towards the Maltese Islands. Arriving in Comino around lunch time one can drop anchor in one of the many beautiful bays for a spot of snorkeling before returning back to one’s home port.

As Sunseeker Malta are anticipating a substantial number of boats it would be appreciated if they receive confirmation at the earliest in order to reserve the berths. Interested persons can call Ms Lauren Cachia on 99998607 or Mr Edward Woods on 79492937to confirm participation in this rally.
