An 18-year-old was given a two-year jail term suspended for four years yesterday, after he pleaded guilty to defiling a girl, 14, participating in sexual acts with her, and offending public morals.
Noel Farrugia, of Żabbar, was charged with having committed the offence two months ago.
The court was presided over by magistrate Tonio Micallef Trigona. Police inspector Louise Calleja prosecuted and lawyers José Herrera and David Camilleri appeared for the accused.
