Melita Mobile Introduces top-up service from automatic payment machines

Malta Independent Sunday, 17 July 2011, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Melita Mobile customers can now top-up their mobile service through one of its automatic payment machines located in retail stores and supermarkets across the island.

The automatic machines were introduced last year as a pilot project in Melita’s Valletta and Paola outlets. Due to their immediate success, Melita decided to add another two payment machines in Smart Supermarket, Birkirkara and in Melita’s Naxxar outlet within GS Superstore. More automated payment machines are to be introduced this year.

This new top-up method is yet another way of simplifying the top-up process for customers on prepaid service. Alternatively, customers can purchase vouchers from one of the thousands of authorised distributors around Malta and Gozo or simply by logging on to My Melita via www.melita.com and topping up online.

Customers topping up through any of these methods still benefit from the fantastic offers such as free calls to all Melita Mobile and fixed numbers.

In recently published statistics, Melita Mobile has been re-confirmed as the fastest growing mobile operator in Malta and the preferred choice of existing mobile users. Statistics published by the Malta Communications Authority show that by the end of 2010 Melita Mobile accounted for almost 16 per cent of all mobile outgoing minutes made by mobile phone users.
