Frank Salt Real Estate staff from the St Julian’s and Sliema sales branches have recently let their hair down and opted for a casual and ragged attire, as part of a charity event organised to assist the Ursulines’ Angela House in Pieta.
The team members, including company director Douglas Salt, dedicated their time and efforts to help with the renovation works at one of the flats managed by Angela House. Jobs carried out on the day included paintwork, plastering, cleaning and whatever else was required.
“We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves” said Douglas Salt, “this is a clear demonstration of how our consultants rally behind the management team in support of an institution that plays such an important social role within our society. Through this initiative we have not only helped the community at Angela House with its ongoing refurbishing works, but we have also had fun and broke our work routine.”
Mr Salt noted that this was not the first time that the company directors and Frank Salt Real Estate provided monetary and non-financial assistance to philanthropic associations. “It is nowadays fairly easy to help those in need by donating money, and whilst this is a notable gesture, it would be much better if we could all tangibly and personally help out where we can.”
Angela House is a residential home for children catering for an average of 50 children. Run by the Ursuline sisters’ community, its main objective is to offer a decent home for the children to grow up into respectable individuals in society. The sisters help the children, coming from different family backgrounds, to overcome their fears by showing them love and support. For this to be made possible, Angela House relies heavily on donations and help, such as that made by Frank Salt Real Estate. The public is invited to contact the residential home’s guardians to see what help is required.
