Frank Salt Real Estate Team roll up their sleeves to lend a helping hand at Angela House

Malta Independent Sunday, 21 August 2011, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

Frank Salt Real Estate staff from the St Julian’s and Sliema sales branches recently let their hair down and opted for a casual and ragged attire, as part of a charity event organised to help Angela House, run by the Ursuline Sisters, in Pieta.

The team members, including company director Douglas Salt, dedicated their time and efforts to help with renovation work at one of the flats managed by Angela House. Jobs carried out on the day also included paintwork, plastering, cleaning and whatever else was required.

“We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves,” said Mr Salt, “ this is a clear demonstration of how our consultants rally behind the management team to support an institution that plays such an important social role in our society. Through this initiative we have not only helped the community at Angela House with its ongoing refurbishing work, but we have also had fun and deviated from our work routine.”

Mr Salt said this was not the first time that the company directors and Frank Salt Real Estate provided monetary and non-financial assistance to philanthropic associations. “It is fairly easy today to help those in need by donating money, and while this is a notable gesture, it would be much better if we could all tangibly and personally help out where we can.”

Angela House is a residential home for children catering for an average of 50 children. Its main objective is to offer a decent home for the children to grow up into respectable individuals in society. The Sisters help the children, coming from different family backgrounds, to overcome their fears by giving them love and support. For this to be made possible, Angela House relies heavily on donations and help, such as that made by Frank Salt Real Estate. The public is invited to contact the residential home’s guardians to find out what help is required.
