Canas y Tapas, an international chain of Spanish themed restaurants, held an official press luncheon this week, to celebrate the launch of their latest venture here in Malta.
The event was hosted by Mark and Simon Grima, directors of Entertainments Ltd, local franchise owners for Canas y Tapas, Charles Zerafa, Project manager for Entertainments Ltd, Carlos Perez Gil, International Franchise manager, Stefano Cutrona, International Franchise consultant and Robert Bonnici, Marketing and Operations manager for Entertainments Ltd.
Situated in the heart of the island’s cultural, fashion and food quarter, Canas y Tapas, is unique because it is flanked by ample parking options and the breathtaking Blue Flag sandy beach and clear waters of St Georges Bay set as its backdrop.
With outlets in Spain, Portugal, France and the UK, local business establishment Entertainments Ltd, were prestigiously awarded with ownership of the Canas y Tapas local franchise earlier this year. After undertaking a heavy investment, which included a total reconstruction of Fuego, St Julian’s, Canas y Tapas exemplifies the distinctive characteristics of a Flemish restaurant, wine bar and café during the 1930s/40s era.
Open every day from 8.30am for breakfast, Canas y Tapas offers its patrons an extensive array of over 70 mouthwatering dishes, which are synonymous of a typical Spanish tavern, including a vast selection of cocktails, drinks, desserts and bar menus.
Canyas y Tapas provides seating for 180 covers, boasting an impressive all-weather awning system, known as a pergotenda, enabling patrons to dine inside or out on the terrace, regardless of weather conditions.
