Learn to make drawings that tell a story with
renowned book illustrator and artist Marisa Attard
The three hour workshop will include a short inspiring tour of Palazzo Falson, instruction and personal attention for each student who will be taught how to draw illustrations and will then create their own story and illustrate it. Refreshments will be served during the break.
Marisa Attard has been illustrating children’s books since her own three kids were very young. They are now all grown up and this gives her more time to spend with other people’s children, doodling, sketching, painting and just having great fun. The illustration workshops she has planned with Palazzo Falson will combine history, humour and art (and some light refreshments). Her style of illustration and art is bold, bright and humorous. She enjoys studying people and her quirky characters are seen to defy gravity, enjoy life, go for evening strolls, gossip or just sit placidly looking out at the viewer hopefully eliciting a smile from those who might take life too seriously. Marisa was awarded the Premju Letterarju for Best Illustrator of Children’s Books in 2002 and 2003, she has taken part in numerous collective and solo art exhibitions with paintings that combine her illustrative style and particular draughtmanship. IMPORTANT: As we shall be serving refreshments during the break, please indicate clearly whether your child suffers from any food allergies or intolerances. The Rooftop Studio is located up two flights of stairs and is not wheelchair accessible.
