Malta Independent Sunday, 9 October 2011, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

The new branch of Atlas Insurance and Atlas JMFS Investment Services Limited in St Paul’s Bay was officially opened by the mayor, Architect Graziella Galea, parish priest Fr Joseph Cilia, Atlas Insurance CEO Michael Gatt, and Jesmond Mizzi, joint managing director Atlas JMFS Investment Services.

The office, in a prominent position on St Paul’s Bay main road, will be handling a full range of personal insurance services such as motor, boat, home and travel (including claims service), and of course investment advice on local and international bonds and shares as well as a wide range of collective investment schemes.

At the opening ceremony, Ms Galea stressed the recent impressive growth of St Paul’s Bay and its outlying areas, which swells to 60,000 in the summer months. The community is now the second largest in Malta after Birkirkara. “The locality is no longer just a summer residence but has become a hub of activity for the north of Malta,” said Mr Gatt. “The opening of this branch demonstrates Atlas’ commitment to adapt to the needs of the community in which it operates, and is an important step for the Group to further strengthen its market penetration capabilities.”

After introducing Keith Tanti and Mark Tanti who will be attending to clients for Atlas Insurance and Joseph Fenech from Atlas JMFS investment Services, Mr Gatt invited Fr Joseph Cilia to bless the new premises.

The St Paul’s Bay branch in 2, Triq Toni Bajada, will be open Monday to Friday from 8am till 12.30pm and from 3.30 to 6.15pm. On Saturdays the office will open again from 8am till 12.30pm. To make enquiries customers can either call 2157 8000 or send an e-mail to [email protected].
