Malta Independent Sunday, 16 October 2011, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

careerpassport, the company behind the social media-oriented online recruitment management system, is to exhibit for the first time at the UK’s leading HR conference and exhibition in November.

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) is Europe’s largest HR and development professional body. Its annual conference and exhibition is the leading event for HR professionals.

careerpassport will be the only Maltese company exhibiting at this prestigious event, which takes place in Manchester Central between 8 and 10 November. This year, the conference is expected to attract more than 3,500 CEOs and HR professionals and will have Sir Terry Leahy, former CEO of Tesco, as well as global business expert Marcus Buckingham, as two of the keynote speakers.

The event also promises 59 conference seminars and an outstanding free HR exhibition “packed with leading suppliers, free learning and fantastic networking opportunities.”

careerpassport will be delivering a presentation covering ‘Online Recruitment’ and the reasons why organisations should shift their recruitment processes online using applicant tracking systems and social media. It will also be exhibiting its recruitment software that enables companies to make the move towards social recruiting.

Matthew Caruana, e-business manager, said, “Our presence at this conference is part of our internationalisation strategy and reflects our commitment towards the UK market.”

careerpassport will be at stand 4030 to demonstrate how its system uses modern web technology to organise and minimise the complexities encountered by organisations and candidates during the recruitment process, as well as to harness the power of social media. It will be illustrating how in a time critical environment, careerpassport allows employers to quickly identify top talent and to communicate efficiently and effectively with the best candidates.
