Over 60 delegates participated in a half-day conference on business aircraft and superyacht registration, organised by Transport Malta in association with FT Business Events, at the Shangri-La Hotel in Paris last week.
The event, supported by the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure and Communications, followed another organised at the London Stock Exchange last year and was equally successful with top quality speakers providing highly informative presentations on a wide range of topics concerning registration, management, applicable taxation and industry services available for the two industries on the island.
Malta is increasingly standing out as a European jurisdiction that offers a competitive service in respect of registration, tax efficiency and corporate services, as well as facilities and repair capabilities. During the conference delegates had the opportunity to discuss the very latest challenges with the panel of industry experts and how Malta can continue to provide solutions to serve their needs.
Among the speakers were Roberto Baviera, chairman of the EBAA and CEO of BizJet, Michael O’Brian, chief executive officer of Maleth-Aero and Giles Gutierrez, founder of ICP, who gave testimonials of their respective experiences in Malta.
“The objective of this second conference was to showcase Malta’s offering to both the aircraft and superyacht industry,” commented Transport Malta CEO Dr Stanley Portelli.
“We are pleased it was so well received and that it enabled industry specialists to come together to discuss some of the latest developments in their respective industries.”
