Representatives from four HSBC corporate customers – Alberta Group, Gasan Group of Companies, Simonds Farsons Cisk and Vivendo Group − recently attended a two-day trade summit in Hamburg focused on present and future shifts in world trade and the growth opportunities these changes offer, particularly in the emerging markets of the world, such as Brazil, India and China.
During the trade summit, HSBC − industry leader and expert in the area of trade − brought together a number of stakeholders, from HSBC trade specialists to different businesses, governmental bodies and think tanks. The Maltese companies present also had the opportunity to network and establish contacts for potential business with other HSBC corporate customers from around the world.
“HSBC understands how the business world is changing around the globe and can help to connect businesses to a world of opportunities,” said Michel Cordina, Head of HSBC Malta’s Commercial Banking. “Through HSBC Group’s global presence we can assist and support our commercial customers to do business in new markets in a way that only HSBC can, through our experience and expertise as a trade bank, especially with regard to emerging markets.”
