Christian Wismayer from Sliema is the proud owner of the first iPhone 4S sold by Vodafone in Malta, the official communications partner for Apple. He bought the first iPhone 4S from Vodafone’s Sliema outlet. Sales of the iPhone 4S have been doing well since last Friday, the first day the iPhone 4S smartphone was available in Malta.

Interest in the iPhone 4S was evident weeks ago when customers started asking about the availability of the iPhone 4S on Facebook and other networking sites. The feature that really fired people’s imagination is Siri, the intelligent personal assistant that helps users get things done just by asking it. Siri understands context and simple questions by voice. Siri also takes commands for changes in the user’s calendar, appointments and handling of calls, messages and e-mails.

Vodafone works closely with Apple to launch the iPhone in all the countries where it operates. For Vodafone and for Europe this is the 4th iPhone to be launched. Vodafone has been offering its Maltese customers the whole range of iPhones available since 2008, when the iPhone 3G was launched.
