Cavalieri Hotel, together with the Office of The President of Malta, is organising a nine-day marathon of family activities between Saturday 26 November and Sunday 4 December to help raise funds for l-Istrina mill-Qalb campaign for 2011.

Cavalieri Hotel General Manager Mark Camilleri said at the launch of the initiative, “The organisation of this marathon is part of the Cavalieri management and staff’s commitment to support the l-Istrina campaign and to contribute to this very worthy cause aimed at helping to improve the lives of children, individuals and families in the community.”

The marathon includes an art exhibition of photography, ceramics, and a painting session on site. Works will finally be sold and proceeds will benefit the Malta Community Chest Fund. The nine-day event will also include a variety of activities and fun events aimed at entertaining visitors to the hotel.

These will include a football festival, a beach clean-up, dancing and cooking lessons, Zumba classes, a bike ride, a tug-of-war, pool table marathon, pets’ walk, animal blessing, fishing competition, ‘across the bay swim’, a two-day food market, a live bands marathon, and a wine and beer festival.

A number of personalities will be attending the events, namely the characters from Deceduti, Zoo and many others.

The Cavalieri Hotel invites the public to participate and help in the marathon charity campaign.
